The famous '1000$ genome' is expected for the near future in parallel with the development of the 3rd generation of next-next GS. This will lead to a dramatic change in molecular diagnostics. The step towards the acquisition and the establishment of a NGS high throughput sequencing platform will push our academic and research community forward on the learning curve of high throughput data analysis and interpretation, creating a solid substrate for the development of (bio)informatics tools for the analysis and interpretation of terra bytes of genomics data.
